Autumn Equinox Day

秋分の日 (Shūbun no Hi)

GLOBAL WHISPERSCULTURAL HERITAGECULTURE

When day and night finally agree to share the sky… Japan calls it 秋分の日 (Shūbun no Hi).

It’s more than just a holiday. It’s a pause… a breath between light and dark, past and present, work and rest.
It’s family gathered around steaming bowls, laughter over mushrooms and chestnuts, the sweetness of おはぎ (Ohagi) — sticky rice and red beans that are said to keep even evil spirits away. Imagine that… dessert as your bodyguard! 💫

This is a day when we honor ancestors who silently bless us, when balance reminds us that life isn’t about winning the race — it’s about harmony. 🌸

And honestly… in a world where politics argue 24/7, isn’t it magical that the universe itself shows us how to share 12 hours each, without drama?

So here’s my little film — part humor, part heart, part reflection.
May it remind you to slow down, eat sweet rice, hold your loved ones close, and let light and dark dance together — just like the sky does today. 🌗

🙏💖 Wishing you all a peaceful, balanced, and soul-warming Autumnal Equinox Day.
